When Is Fat Burning Most Effective?

Is there a certain time of the day when the body burns more fat than normal?

This is another controversial topic that fitness enthusiasts spend a lot of time debating.

I tend to use my common sense and back it up using logic.

Today, I will illustrate the two most effective times of the day your body tends to burn the greatest amount of calories.

Let’s jump in…

1)) First Thing In The Morning

It’s been proven that the best time to work out is in the morning because your stomach is empty and your body is craving a good healthy meal.

This is the perfect scenario because when you exercise first thing in the morning, you kick your metabolism into a fat-burning mode all day long.

This means your body will burn calories even while you’re stationary, for example sitting at your desk all day.

Now compare that with not exercising first thing in the morning. Your metabolism will remain sluggish for the entire day and you will not burn nearly the amount of calories you would’ve had if you began your day with a good workout.

Another benefit to starting your day with a workout is the fact that you will more than likely eat a nice healthy meal. That will contribute to even more fat loss because now you are not eating all those empty fatty calories.

2)) Cardio Performed Immediately After Resistance Training

The reason I recommend performing your cardio immediately after your resistance training is that you need your body to be at its strongest in order to properly lift the appropriate amount of weight.

If you perform your cardio first you may not have the strength needed to lift the amount of weight that will challenge your muscles enough to make them grow and improve.

Scientists and fitness enthusiasts alike have proved that resistance training is better at sculpting your body than cardio alone. To reap the most benefit, you should combine the two.

Conclusion

I’ve been dieting and exercising for decades and came to the conclusion a long time ago that there’s a lot of conflicting information surrounding fitness topics.

I know because I’ve spent thousands of dollars purchasing supplements, exercise manuals, and overpriced exercise contraptions.

If you’ve been working out for any length of time, you can probably relate.

I know that when it comes to the fitness industry you are confronted with several different ways to exercise and diet, but my best advice is to use logic if you come across information that doesn’t seem to make sense or appear to be in conflict.

Getting into shape isn’t rocket science, especially when you stick to the fundamentals.

Remember, if you’d like to kick start your metabolism into hyper-drive, execute your resistance training first thing in the morning followed by a cardio session.

If you apply this simple process combined with a healthy diet, you’ll turn your body into a fat-burning machine.

There’s only one thing left to do, take action on what you learned in this article.
