Men and women alike are drawn toward a nice pair of sculptured arms.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a man or a woman; we all love the appearance of nicely toned arms. Lean trimmed arms are sexy and attractive.

They are one of our most visible body parts and oftentimes the most commented on besides legs.

Guys always ask each other, “How big are your arms?”

Women say things such as, “Girl your arms look so toned!”

If you aren’t sporting a pair of sculpted arms, don’t worry, if you put in the required work, you can develop them.

So don’t get discouraged!

We all know that there’s nothing free in this world, we have to pay the price one way or the other to get the things that we desire.

If you are interested in toning your arms, let me give you my Top 5 Tips For Super Sculpted Arms.

Let’s get started…

TIP 1: Focus On The Muscle Being Trained

Have you ever heard of the “Mind To Muscle Connection?”

This simply means that you must focus on the muscle that you are working during the exercise movement, otherwise, if you don’t you could end up working another muscle that you didn’t intend on training or not feel the muscle contracting against the resistance.

For example, let’s say that you’re training your triceps with an exercise movement called Dumbbell Kickbacks (Google it). If you don’t feel the tension in your triceps muscles as you straighten your arm, the exercise will not benefit you as much.

When a person is performing a resistance exercise movement and doesn’t feel the tension in the muscle they’re training, we call this, “Going Through The Motions.”

It really is that important for you to establish that mind-to-muscle connection if you truly want to isolate the muscle you’re training in order to get the biggest benefit.

I’ll be honest, it may take you some time, but it's well worth it to get those toned arms that you desire.

TIP 2: Squeeze The Biceps And Triceps

Squeezing your biceps and triceps muscles while performing the exercise movements for them is directly related to the Mind To Muscle Connection.

This squeezing is better known as contracting the muscles.

You must contract your muscles to force them to handle and adapt to the resistance that they’re working against.

The biggest benefit that you’ll receive by squeezing your biceps and triceps is the increase in the tone of those muscle groups.

They will adapt by getting stronger, more toned, and bigger.

This will put you on the path to those sexy arms that you want.

TIP 3: Perform Higher Repetitions For Faster Toning

There is a general rule of thumb in the fitness world that states, “If you want your muscles to grow a lot bigger, then use heavier weights and lower repetitions in the neighborhood of 6 to 8.”

And if you want to develop leaner muscles, but not the bodybuilder type, you should stick to lighter weights and repetitions in the range of 12 to 15.

That makes perfect sense, right?

Larger muscles are stronger and bigger, which require heavier weights.

Smaller muscles are not as strong but can be toned, which requires lighter weights to develop.

The choice is yours to make.

TIP 4: Eliminate Momentum During The Movements

Using momentum has NO Place in regular exercise programs, because not only is it dangerous to swing the barbell, dumbbell, kettlebell, machine bar, or whatever resistance exercise you’re using, the muscle that you’re trying to train isn’t receiving the benefit.

Momentum is doing all of the work and not the intended muscle such as the biceps or triceps.

For example; when you’re performing biceps curls, use only the biceps to curl the resistance upwards towards your shoulders, and then notice the difference.

You will feel the burn in your muscles, get toned faster, and reduce your chances of injuring yourself.

TIP 5: Don’t Over-Train Your Arms

When you train your muscles, the cells in them are broken down, which is normal by the way. During the days that you’re not training your arms, your body will attempt to rebuild the cells in your muscles so that they become stronger, more toned, and bigger depending on your goals for them.

If you train your arms or any muscle groups for that matter too often, you run the risk of overtraining, which means you’re not giving your body enough of a recovery period to rebuild the cells in your muscles.

Overtraining for prolonged periods of time can have several negative effects such as your muscles not becoming toned, getting weaker, becoming more susceptible to getting injured, and temporarily lowering your immune system.

If you’re focusing and training intensely enough, you only need to train your arms once per week to avoid overtraining.

The only people that can get away with training body parts multiple times per week are the ones that are taking enhancement supplements, which may or may not be steroid-based, but you don’t have to go that route.
